a story of standing and walking again.

There was once a man who used to be well (Jn 5:14), but for the last 38 years is invalid. We dont know why and how it happened, but he is. As a result, it is so hard for him to be mobile.

Now, somewhere in his nations capital, there is a miraculous pool. Once a year, a great number of disabled people gathers there and waits for the water to be stirred by an angel then rushes to the waters; whoever gets there first gets healed.

The invalid man desires to be well again. He misses the days when he was well and plays outdoor with his friends, and when he walks independently and normally. He must have missed riding his old skateboard. And so, off he went to this pool.

Apparently, he cannot be the first. He is invalid.

Then, there came a man who sincerely asked him if he wants to get healed. He answered positively but there is hopelessness in it. After all, he knows that he cant be the first. He is invalid for the last 38 years.

The man healed him. He enabled and commanded him to stand, pick-up his mat and walk. After all, the healer knows full well that the man was made to stand from the very beginning. Its in his blueprint. And so, off he stood; and it doesnt end there; off he stood, picked up his mat, and walked. He obeyed all of his healers instruction - all of his healers commands.

The newly-healed man left the pool and went to the temple - the house of God during those times, still carrying his mat which is now just a reminder of how he was before which makes him appreciate more of how he is now. There he met again his healer, Jesus, who told him this:

See, you are well again. Stop sinning or something worse may happen to you.

Then, the man proclaimed that it was Jesus who made him well (and restored him back to his original design).
